Hours after President Obama jumped on the Hillary Clinton bandwagon, progressive Sen. Elizabeth Warren followed suit.
“I’m ready to jump in this fight and make sure that Hillary Clinton is the next president of the United States and be sure that Donald Trump gets nowhere near the White House,” said Warren.
Warren is a favorite among progressives and her support could go a long way in helping heal wounds between supporters of Bernie Sanders and Clinton.
The endorsement followed a speech Warren gave earlier in the day where she eviscerated Donald Trump for attacking federal Judge Gonzalo Curiel.
“Understand what this is, Trump is criticizing Judge Curiel for following the law, instead of bending it to suit the financial interest of one wealthy, and oh, so fragile, defendant,” said Warren. “He’s even condemned federal judges who are Muslim on the disgusting theory that Trump’s own bigotry compromises the judges neutrality. You can’t make this stuff up.”
